SITUATION: COLLEGE OF MEDICINE/FIFTH FLOOR.

JUSTIFICATIONS:

   1- There are evidence that cancer is flaring up.

   2- There is no scientific recording for cancer cases in Basrah.

   3- Lack of scientific laboratories for early detection of cancer& evaluation of treatment.

   4- There is no center for patient  education about cancer.

 

AIMES OF THE UNIT:

   1. Studying of cancer cases in Basrah and analysing  them statistically.

   2. Performing scientific researches  in relation to cancer.

   3. Introducing laboratory  services for the early detection of cancer  and following up cancer patients cases and their response to treatment.

   4-  informing and educating about cancer through issuing cancer bulletin and through conferences.
